Volusia County ECHO Committee Site Visits and Meeting

Volusia County’s Environmental, Cultural, Historical and Outdoor Recreation (ECHO) Advisory Committee will be making site visits to ECHO grant applicants’ project sites and hold a mandatory eligibility meeting on Thursday, Jan. 25.
A presentation will be conducted at each site visit, providing an opportunity for questions, with scheduled times and locations listed below:
- 8 a.m.: Seville VIA Historic Seville School Restoration, 1591 US Highway 17
- 9 a.m.: Ormond Beach Sports Complex Softball Quad, 700 Hull Road
- 9:25 a.m.: Ormond Beach Nova Community Park Field Improvements, 440 North Nova Road
- 10:10 a.m.: Port Orange City Center Playground Improvements, 4625 City Center Drive
- 10:45 a.m.: New Smyrna Beach Skate Park Expansion, 245 Industrial Park Ave.
- 11:15 a.m.: Edgewater Hawks Park Pickleball Courts & Amenities, 150 W. Turgot Ave.
- 1:25 p.m.: DeBary Alexander Island Park, 720 Fort Florida Road
- 2:05 p.m.: Deltona Family YMCA Fields & Playground, 280 Wolf Pack Run
- 2:45 p.m.: Lake Beresford Shoreline Restoration & Public Access Enhancements at the Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center, 2636 Alhambra Ave., DeLand
Following these site visits, applicants will attend a mandatory eligibility meeting at 3:15 p.m. at the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, County Council Chambers, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.

ECHO grants are provided annually through a competitive application process, aiming to fund projects focused on acquiring, constructing, or restoring environmental, cultural, historical, and outdoor recreation facilities accessible to the public. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) not-for-profit groups that have a local office in Volusia County, municipal governments within Volusia County, and departments of Volusia County Government.
