Mastering Pest Prevention: Earn Continuing Education Credits and Learn from Dr. Koehler, Medical Entomologist

Equip yourself with the knowledge and skills for effective pest prevention. Join us at the UF/IFAS Extension Volusia County, 3100 E. New York Ave., Deland, on Friday, March 1, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. to discover essential insights into preventing and managing issues with bed bugs, phorid flies, and mosquitoes.
The class will be led by Dr. Koehler, a former Lieutenant and Medical Entomologist in the U.S. Navy's Medical Service Corps. Dr. Koehler was stationed at the Navy's Disease Vector Ecology and Control Center in Jacksonville, FL, during the Vietnam War and is a leader in the field of Entomology. He will cover insect case studies performed during the war, research duties, and lessons learned from that time. This class is open to the public and will offer three continuing education credits (CEUs) for those in the General Household Pest, Aquatic, or Public Health fields. There is a $30 fee to attend the class, which will include refreshments.
