Transform386 Extends Onsite Application Assistance Through May

Posted On: April 26, 2024

Volusia County will continue its Transform386 initiative onsite application intake events throughout May following their successful implementation in various public libraries across the county. The schedule for onsite application assistance in May is as follows:

  • Tuesdays from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Daytona Beach Regional Library, 105 E. Magnolia Ave.
  • Wednesdays from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.
  • Fridays from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway.

"While our online application portal is available 24/7, many individuals prefer to speak directly with a representative or need help uploading their documents," said Transform386 Operations Manager Charles Puckett. "By extending our presence into the community, we're able to meet people where they are, enhancing both accessibility and personalized service."

The Transform386 initiative, funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery program, aids eligible homeowners affected by Hurricane Ian by offering repairs and reimbursement for completed work.

With more than 1,000 applications already submitted, homeowners impacted by the disaster are urged to apply promptly to facilitate the review of their eligibility. Additional information about eligibility criteria and benefits is available at www.transform386.org or by calling 386-943-7029.
