ECHO Committee to Meet on September 25

VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Volusia County Environmental, Cultural, Historical, and Outdoor Recreation (ECHO) Advisory Committee will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the County Council Chambers of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.

The committee will conduct the meeting as a grant review panel to score the 2024 Spring Grant Cycle applications. Applications scoring over 80 will be recommended to the Volusia County Council for final approval.

The following ECHO applications, which total $3,980,000 in request funding, will be reviewed:

  • City of South Daytona – Reed Canal Park Prehistoric Playground Expansion: $600,000
  • City of Port Orange – South Causeway Park: $600,000
  • City of Port Orange – City Center Improvements: $280,000
  • City of DeBary – Alexander Island Park: $2,500,000
