Volusia County Hurricane Milton Landfill Hours and Updates

The Tomoka Farms Road Landfill and the West Volusia Transfer Station will be open during normal operating hours Monday, Oct. 7, through Wednesday, Oct. 9. Due to Hurricane Milton, both locations and administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 10.

Weather permitting, both facilities will reopen for normal business hours on Friday, Oct.10.  The landfill is open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The transfer station is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Volusia County is working with commercial waste haulers to coordinate additional pick-up services for unincorporated areas of Volusia County. Residents living in incorporated Volusia County should contact their local city for more information. Volusia County staff will continue coordinating with state officials and the National Weather Service to assess potential local impacts from the storm. Residents can stay updated by downloading the Volusia Emergency Management app, following the County’s social media channels, or visiting www.volusia.org.
