FEMA’s Disaster Recovery Center Returning to Daytona Beach Nov. 30
Posted On: November 25, 2024
More than 1,000 residents visited FEMA’s Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Daytona Beach during its recent operation. Due to this high demand, FEMA will host another DRC at the John H. Dickerson Community Center, 308 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., from Saturday, Nov. 30, through Saturday, Dec. 7. The DRC will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In the meantime, a DRC is operating from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Wednesday, Nov. 27, at The Center at Deltona, 1640 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. FEMA will assess the demand for services at this location to determine if it will return to this site at a later date.
At the recovery centers, residents can meet one-on-one with FEMA representatives and other disaster assistance organizations, including the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Red Cross. These organizations provide personalized support and help residents explore recovery options. All impacted Volusia County residents are encouraged to visit a DRC for assistance if they are unable to apply for benefits virtually.
Residents can also apply for assistance at www.disasterassistance.gov, through the FEMA mobile app, or by calling 800-621-3362.
