Off-Beach Parking Changes Coming in January

Volusia County residents registered with the ParkVolusia program will soon enjoy a new benefit. These registrants will be exempt from the fees introduced for all County-owned and operated off-beach parking lots that begin on Jan. 1, 2025.

Registered residents need to note that ParkVolusia permits will not be valid in off-beach parking lots and boat ramps owned by municipalities. This exclusion includes the following locations:

  • 27th Street Oceanfront Park (New Smyrna Beach)
  • Flagler Avenue Oceanfront Park (New Smyrna Beach)
  • Esther Street Oceanfront Park (New Smyrna Beach)
  • Grayce Barck North Beach Community Park (New Smyrna Beach)
  • Marianne Clancy Park (New Smyrna Beach)
  • North Causeway Boat Ramp (New Smyrna Beach)
  • Swoop Boat Ramp (New Smyrna Beach)
  • Breakers Oceanfront Park (Daytona Beach)

Residents should contact the respective city governments for information on fees applicable to these municipal lots. Additionally, ParkVolusia registration does not cover complimentary access to Lighthouse Point Park and Smyrna Dunes Park. Residents can purchase an annual pass through their ParkVolusia account or pay the daily entrance fee upon arrival.

For nonresidents planning to use County-owned and operated off-beach parking lots, an annual off-beach parking pass is available for purchase and is separate from the beach driving pass. Without this annual pass, a daily fee of $20 will be charged.

Parking in any County-owned and operated off-beach parking lot between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. is prohibited for all, including ParkVolusia registrants. Violations may result in penalties.
