CDBG Funding Applications Available through Volusia County

Posted On: March 11, 2025

Volusia County’s Community Assistance Division is accepting applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from municipalities participating in the County’s entitlement program, nonprofit organizations, and Volusia County internal departments and divisions.

The funds, which will be provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, for fiscal year 2025-2026, are expected to include $1 million for capital improvement projects and $250,000 for public service activities. Funds must be used to serve clients or groups that are primarily low- or moderate-income. Capital improvement applications must request no less than $100,000 per application, and public service applications must request no less than $25,000. Applicants are limited to two applications and no more than one per project type. Additional requirements will be provided with applications.

These funds may not be used for projects within the city limits of Daytona Beach, Port Orange, and Deltona because these cities are eligible to receive their own CDBG allocations. Exceptions may apply for countywide projects or projects that meet the area benefit requirements.

For more information about eligible uses or to request an application, contact Eva Colee at 386-736-5955, ext. 15593, or ecolee@volusia.org. Applications will be accepted until 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7.
