FDEM Offers Guidance on Elevate Florida Program During Webinars on March 25

Residents interested in applying for assistance through the Elevate Florida program are encouraged to attend one of two upcoming webinars hosted by the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) on Tuesday, March 25. The first session will begin at noon and the second at 5 p.m. These sessions will cover key information about the program, including eligibility requirements, project types, and property owner cost-share expectations.

The Elevate Florida program offers support for home elevation, reconstruction, and/or acquisition projects that reduce flood risk. While priority may be given to properties that have experienced prior damage or flooding, homes do not need a history of storm impacts to qualify.

Since the program began accepting applications earlier this year, nearly 150 Volusia County residents have already applied. While FDEM has not set an official application deadline, residents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

To register for one of the webinars, learn more about the program, or begin an application, visit www.floridadisaster.org/dem/mitigation/elevate-Florida.
