Starting a 4-H Club Workshop: 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8. Adults, teachers, and parents can get information about how to start a 4-H club, timelines, logistics, and fun 4-H projects to do with their club. RSVP at https://VolunteerVolusia4-H.eventbrite.com.

Coffee with a Gardener: 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 11. Join Volusia County’s master gardeners for a Q-and-A session. Coffee and tea will be served, and residents can ask questions about gardening and plant identification. Reservations are not required.

First-time Homebuyer Class: 5 to 9 p.m. April 17 and 24. Extension Agent Lisa Hamilton will instruct the two-part, online class, which consists of eight hours of education. Participants will receive a certificate of completion that will enable them to apply for a federal down payment and closing cost assistance program available through Volusia County, Seminole County, and the City of Deltona. The cost is $5 per household. Scholarships are available upon request. Register at https://homebuyered.eventbrite.com.

Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 22. This event will cover worker health, hygiene, and training; soil amendments, wildlife, domesticated animals, and land use; and agricultural water. Completion will satisfy the produce safety rule for the Food Safety Modernization Act. The $40 fee includes training materials, lunch, refreshments, and a certificate of attendance from the Association of Food and Drug Officials. Florida Master Naturalist Program: April 23 and 25 and May 1, 8 and 9.
