Ocean Center Offers Guidance to Help Attendees Prepare for President Trump's Rally
Posted On: October 30, 2026
Volusia County’s Ocean Center is preparing to welcome attendees for President Donald Trump's scheduled visit on Friday, Oct. 30. With large crowds anticipated, attendees should plan ahead and review important information regarding parking, entry procedures, and security screening. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m., with remarks scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Attendees should arrive early and allow extra travel time because of heightened security measures, anticipated traffic congestion, and traffic closures throughout the surrounding area.
Parking and transportation
Limited paid parking will be available at the Ocean Center Garage, Orange Lot, Daytona Beach Grande, and other nearby parking lots. The garage will open at 6 a.m., and all other parking areas will open at 8 a.m. All applicable parking fees will apply.
Due to anticipated crowds and limited parking availability, attendees are encouraged to carpool or use rideshare services. Please allow extra time for heightened security measures, including car screening at parking lots. Expect long delays, street/bridge closures, and traffic congestion. Those attending should also prepare for potentially long walks between parking areas and the Ocean Center.
Event entry and security screening
All attendees must enter the Ocean Center through the building's west entrance. Guests may begin lining up in the Blue Lot at 6 a.m. Friday. Doors are scheduled to open at 3:30 p.m. All attendees must pass through security screening before entering the facility. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees should anticipate large crowds and extended wait times.
Bag restrictions and prohibited items
For security purposes, backpacks and bags exceeding 18 inches by 13 inches by 7 inches are prohibited. Attendees should limit the personal belongings they bring to the event to help expedite security screening.
Additional prohibited items include:
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons of any kind, toy guns, mace, and pepper spray.
- Alcoholic beverages, aerosols, flammable liquids, spray containers, and e-cigarettes.
- Banners, signs, placards, sign supports, balloons, balls and noisemakers.
- Drones, laser pointers, range finders, selfie sticks and certain electronic devices, including Flipper Zero, Pineapple Wi-Fi routers and Raspberry Pi-enabled devices.
- Coolers, packages, and glass, thermal or metal containers.
- Bicycles, recreational motorized mobility devices, and structures.
- Chairs are permitted while waiting in line, but they may not be brought inside the venue.
- Animals other than service or guide animals.
Security personnel may prohibit additional items they determine could pose a safety hazard.
Event logistics, including parking availability, entry times, and security procedures, remain subject to change. Attendees are encouraged to monitor the Ocean Center’s official social media channels or visit www.oceancenter.com for the latest information before traveling to the venue.
