Honor a Veteran

HONOR A VETERAN

As part of the Volusia Values Veterans Program (V3P), our county council will recognize and honor those veterans who continue their legacy of service beyond military duty by supporting fellow veterans and strengthening the broader community.

This initiative reflects Volusia County’s commitment to honoring veterans whose post-service contributions demonstrate leadership, compassion, and dedication. Through continued advocacy, volunteerism, and service, these individuals make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of others throughout the community.

Eligible veterans will be formally recognized by Volusia County Council with a commemorative Veteran Proclamation presented in their honor. 

To qualify, honorees must meet the following requirements:

• Active or honorably discharged military personnel of the United States Armed Forces.
• Current Volusia County resident.
• Veteran must still be actively serving the community.

Other Specifics and Requirements

• Photograph - The photograph should be of the service person preferably in uniform (military or county uniform). The photograph must be of good quality, do not submit low quality photo.
• Verification of military service - copy of military orders or military ID, DD214 form.

Applicants will be notified once their application has been fully reviewed and veteran has been selected. Notification will be provided using the contact information listed on the application. Veteran selections are made at random from all eligible applications to ensure a fair and impartial process. Please allow adequate time for the review and selection process before reaching out for an update.
