Volusia County Firefighters to Descend Halifax Health and Spread Holiday Cheer to Children

In a heartwarming display of holiday spirit, the Technical Rescue Team from Volusia County Fire Rescue (VCFR) will rappel down the pediatric unit at Halifax Health while donning costumes of popular holiday figures like Santa Claus and the Grinch. The festivities will begin at approximately 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at Halifax Health, 303 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach. This event is specially curated to captivate and uplift the spirits of children and their families during the holiday season.

"This event is an exceptional opportunity for us to connect with the community in a lighthearted and spirited way," said VCFR Chief Joe King. "Each year, the smiles on the children's faces are just as big on our firefighters that look forward to this."
