Volusia County Opens Sandbag Station in Preparation for St. Johns River Rising Water

Volusia County Road & Bridge is opening a self-fill sandbag station from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow, Oct 12, at their Deland Facility, 2560 West State Road 44, Deland. The station is open to assist those in Hontoon, Astor, and all communities in West Volusia along the St. Johns River who might be impacted. Residents may receive up to 10 sandbags per household. Stay updated by downloading the Volusia Emergency Management app, following the County’s social media channels, or visiting www.volusia.org.
