Biography


Chief Warrant Officer 2 Pierre Louis, USMC (Ret.) is a distinguished Marine Corps veteran, community leader, and advocate whose lifelong commitment to service has continued long after his military career. Recognized as the inaugural Volusia County Veteran of the Year through the Volusia Values Veterans Program’s Honor a Veteran initiative, Pierre exemplifies the values of leadership, dedication, and civic engagement.

During more than twenty years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, Pierre rose through the enlisted ranks to earn the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2. He served with distinction as an Aircraft Maintenance Data Analyst and Aviation Maintenance Engineering Officer, playing a critical role in ensuring mission readiness and operational excellence. His exemplary military career was recognized with numerous awards and decorations, including multiple Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and a Navy Commendation Medal.

Following his retirement from military service, Pierre remained deeply committed to supporting fellow veterans and strengthening his community. He has served multiple terms as President of the Halifax Area Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), leading the organization to achieve MOAA’s prestigious 5-Star Level of Excellence Award. As Legislative Lead for the Florida Council of Chapters, he has traveled to Capitol Hill to advocate for policies that support veterans, service members, and their families.

Pierre’s passion for mentorship and service extends beyond the veteran community. Through his leadership of the Toastmasters at Twelve Club, he has helped provide communication and leadership development opportunities to inmates at Tomoka Correctional Institution, empowering individuals through education and personal growth. He is also known for his compassionate advocacy, assisting veterans in navigating VA benefits and helping seniors access critical resources and care.

Through decades of military service, veteran advocacy, mentorship, and community leadership, Pierre Louis has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals throughout Volusia County. His unwavering commitment to serving others continues to embody the highest ideals of citizenship, leadership, and public service.
