Our mission: To balance the needs of private property owners with the public's desire for preservation and protection of Volusia County's natural resources, and to provide excellent customer service.
Our responsibility: To administer and enforce the county's environmental ordinances, including the tree, wetland, Class II, and gopher tortoise ordinances. We also help people coordinate with state and federal agencies for protected species permitting.
For routine environmental permitting questions or to report a potential environmental violation, please contact our Permitting Coordinator at 386-736-5927, ext. 12093, or email@example.com.
Environmental Permitting Tracker is an interactive map that shows environmental permits.
Connect Live is the county’s online permit, development, and contractor information service for growth management information. Anyone can research permits, developments, and contractor licenses or submit a complaint about potential code violations. Registered users can also check the status of their applications, make payments, schedule inspections, and submit a variety of applications online.
