Recycling drop-off sites

Picture of recycle containersRecycling drop-off centers are located throughout the county at county fire stations and solid waste management facilities. Residents may recycle their used motor oil in the white "igloo" drop-off containers.

Dual-sort recycling toters are usually located here, too.

Residents may recycle mixed paper such as:

  • Newspapers & Inserts including glossy pages (bags and strings removed)
  • Store fliers w/mailing labels
  • Writing/school/copy paperPicture of Recycle containers
  • All envelopes (windowed too)
  • Magazines, catalogs, junk mail (all types, please remove any samples)
  • Paperback & hardcover books (w/hard covers removed)
  • Cardboard including corrugated, detergent boxes, cereal boxes (remove plastic liners), drink & snack boxes (please cut or flatten to 4’ x 4’ pieces)

In the co-mingled toters, residents may recycle:

  • Aluminum and Steel Cans
    • All aluminum cans
    • Steel cans
  • Glass bottles (please remove all lids/tops)
    • Clear glass
    • Green glass
    • Amber/Brown glass
  • Plastic bottles coded 1 & 2
