Animal Control Services
Mission: To provide animal control services to the public in the most effective, efficient and courteous means possible. We will provide professional, proactive enforcement of Volusia County Code of Ordinances chapter 14 and the State Statutes pertaining to animals. We will promote responsible pet ownership by individual contact and community outreach programs.
Volusia County Animal Control Services is accepting spay/neuter appointments at the spay/neuter Volusia County Animal Care Clinic located at 1250 Indian Lake Road, Daytona Beach. The state-of-the-art clinic provides low-cost and reduced-fee animal sterilization to residents of Volusia County. Services at the spay/neuter clinic are by appointment only.
Residents seeking low-cost pet spaying and neutering will be qualified by income eligibility guidelines, which are based on the number of people in the household and the annual household income. Residents currently receiving state assistance will be priced at $15. Additional prices range from $15 to $65.
Services included with spay and neuter surgeries are rabies vaccinations, distemper vaccinations and microchips. County licenses will be provided for owners of pets who live in unincorporated Volusia County. Cats that are spayed or neutered under the county Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) programs will also receive a feline distemper vaccination and ear-tipping in addition to the rabies vaccination. TNR cats must arrive at the clinic in a trap. For more information or to make an appointment, call 386-323-3575.
