Animal Abuse Database
Animal abuse is a serious issue of public concern. The public has expressed concerns over the placement of pets into homes where past pet abuse has occurred. This listing is intended to be used as a tool by those involved in the placement of animals. The Animal Abuse Database will include public record information extracted from the Volusia County Clerk of Court's Case Management System. This listing is, therefore, limited in scope to the County of Volusia. Individuals convicted of a felony or misdemeanor crime involving an animal victim in Volusia County, or individuals whose pets have been forfeited to Volusia County pursuant to section 828.073, Florida Statutes, will be listed for an indefinite period.
