Requirements for new, renewal or transfer of franchise

Stage One:   Requirements

• Completed application
• Non-refundable application fee of $500. Please make your check payable to County of Volusia
• Proof of insurability
• Volusia County Business Tax Receipt
• Mail requirements to:
  Solid Waste Administration
  1990 Tomoka Farms Road
  Port Orange, FL  32128

Stage Two:   Public hearing

• The public hearing will be held during a regular County Council meeting.

Stage Three:  Post-application approval requirements

• Annual certified audit shall be prepared by an independent certified public accountant and provided annually, no later than July 31.
• Franchise fee shall be paid to the county on a monthly basis.
