Economic Impact of Arts and Culture

A recent nationwide study, Arts and Economic Prosperity 5 (AEP5), undertaken by Americans for the Arts, Inc. -- the nation's leading arts advocacy organization -- demonstrates that the nonprofit arts and culture industry is an important economic driver in communities throughout the United States. It's a growth industry that supports jobs, generates government revenue, and is a cornerstone of tourism.

Volusia County arts, culture and heritage organizations participate in this study every five years. The report below powerfully illustrates the specific and dynamic economic impacts of cultural organizations and their audiences right here in Volusia County.
