2016 Charter Review Commission
The Volusia County Charter Review Commission completed its study of the Volusia County Home Rule Charter and submitted its Final Report to the Volusia County Council June 3, 2016.
Members reviewed the structure of county government operations and the charter itself. Recommended amendments to the charter will be placed on the general election ballot in November 2016 following public hearings.
Public hearings
The hearings will take place in the county council chambers in the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand. The hearings are open to the public, and commission members are subject to the Florida Sunshine law.
