Don Dempsey

Don Dempsey is the District 1 representative on the Volusia County Council. His district includes DeLand, Orange City, Lake Helen, Pierson and the northern half of DeBary, along with the unincorporated areas of Astor, DeLeon Springs, Emporia, Seville, Barberville and surrounding areas. He began a four-year term in January 2023.

Mr. Dempsey and his wife, Angela, live in DeLand and are active members of the Liberty Independent Baptist Church. Together, they have three children, Grayson, Elizabeth and Michael. He enjoys watching Grayson compete in motocross and Elizabeth in barrel racing. Michael is a captain for JetBlue.
