Peggy Banks is an award-winning artist who exhibits her work locally, regionally and nationally. Her mixed media pieces have been collected throughout the United States and Europe. She is represented by Timothy’s Gallery in Winter Park; Arts on Douglas in New Smyrna Beach; and Clay and Fiber in Taos, New Mexico.

“My work centers on my interest in music, nature and spirituality. These story temples are metaphors for the body, mind and spirit. They are constructed in relief and adorned with songs, prayers or poems. Beyond Time was inspired by a song written by my boyfriend, George Sword. The theme represents the universal goals we hope for. The dancing temple and winged temples are superimposed over layers of handmade paper painted in jewel tones and incorporated with weaving and natural fibers. Soul Mates, the companion piece, celebrates the piece’s title.” - Peggy Banks.
