Art in Public Places - Votran Transfer Plaza

Votran Transfer Plaza
207 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd., Daytona Beach, Fla.

Volusia County opened the $2 million Votran Transfer Plaza in 1993 to increase ridership on Votran, the county’s public transit system. The plaza, which serves as Votran’s pulse point, stretches over 1.75 acres in downtown Daytona Beach.

The plaza features 13 bus bays, two electronic kiosks that will notify passengers of bus arrival and departure times, and an on-site attendant. Passengers with special needs can use Braille gate signs, three wheelchair ramps and a telephone for the hearing impaired.
