Stephanie Gassman enjoys the challenge of creating meaningful art. It is usually multi-dimensional and contains unusual shapes.
She began her career studying photography and design at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. For many years, she worked as a graphic artist, illustrator, photographer, art director, retail display artist and shoe designer. Since 1982, she has worked primarily in the public art field with designers and architects, creating large commissioned art for residential, corporate and government buildings throughout the United States.
“Volusia Lifeguard” measures 4 feet by 6 feet by 3 inches. The multi-tiered piece incorporates interpretative images of people engaged in a variety of recreational activities on Volusia County beaches, all under the watchful eye of a vigilant lifeguard.
“To me every commission is a new adventure and lets me combine techniques and materials to make a unique statement.” – Stephanie Gassman
