A.   Starting at the centerline of the Due East Street walkover and extending 600 feet north.

B.  Extending 400 feet north and 200 feet south of the centerline on the extension of the Beachway Avenue Approach.

C.  Extending 600 feet south of the centerline of the 8th Street walkover.

D.  Starting at a point 500 feet north of the centerline of the Ocean Drive walkover and extending 600 feet north.

E.  Starting at a point 600 feet south of the centerline of the extension of Beachway Avenue Approach and extending 600 feet south.

F.  Extending 250 feet south and 350 feet north of the centerline of the 20th Street walkover.

G.  Starting at the centerline of the Cortez Street walkover and extending 600 feet north.

H.  Starting at the centerline of the 15th Avenue walkover and extending 600 feet north.

I.  Starting at a point 100 feet north of the centerline of the extension of the Crawford Avenue Approach and extending 600 feet north.

J.  Extending 100 feet south and 500 feet north of the centerline of the 12th Avenue walkover.

K.  Extending 100 feet north and 500 feet south of the centerline of the Ocean Drive walkover.

L.  Starting at a point 100 feet north of the centerline of the Crawford Avenue Approach and extending 600 feet north.

Safety regulations

  • Personal Watercraft are permitted in designated area only.                        
  • As of January 1, 1998 , all personal watercraft operators and passengers must wear a helmet.                        
  • Personal watercraft operators must purchase a permit from the watercraft zone attendant.                        
  • Hours of operation are between 9 am and 5 pm weekends and holidays ONLY.                        
  • The personal watercraft zone is an 600 feet wide area along the beach where personal watercraft may be launched  and operated inside the surfline.  Riders may ride outside the personal watercraft zone but must remain 1,500 feet (500 yards) from the shoreline.                        
  • Personal watercraft may be refueled on the beach but must be at least 25 feet from the shoreline.                        
  • Personal watercraft should be operated in a responsible manner.  Reckless operators will be called out of the water.                    
  • Tube rides, knee-boarding and water skies are not permitted within the personal watercraft zone.  Personal watercraft operators cannot set up buoys as a race course within the watercraft zone.                        
  • Personal watercraft operation is the only water activity permitted within the watercraft zone.                        
  • All personal watercraft operated within the watercraft zone must meet U.S. Coast Guard requirements and must have valid registration, personal flotation device, fire extinguisher, whistle, kill switch lanyard and waterbox exhaust system.    

Passes are sold at any personal watercraft zone.

Annual resident: $100 (calendar year)
Annual visitor pass: $125 (calendar year)
Monthly pass: $25 (30 consecutive days)
All passes are non-refundable and non-transferable
