Hontoon Island
The study area is located approximately four (4) miles west of DeLand and consists of approximately 5200 acres. It is bounded on the north by the Lake Woodruff Wildlife Refuge and Highlands Park Road, on the east by the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad tracks, on the south by Hontoon State Park and Lake Beresford, and on the west by the St. John's River.
